Viewing: Bio - Percussion
Growing up in the San Francisco mission district, the sixties and seventies was a hotbed of Latin musical influences such as Santana, Malo, Azteca and Sapo. Oliver Camilo was intrigued by the sounds of Latin Percussion and would often go to the parks where he picked up on the rhythms and solos which was to become his informal training.
Oliver has played in many venues such as night clubs, community organizations, fundraisers and performed for the Meadowview Jazz Festival where he opened for the Ojays in 2003 and for Confunkshun in 2004.
